      Ranking for related keywords: Let’s say you sell hearing protection products, your main category pages will be targeting the more specific transactional keywords but there will be loads of related keywords that your potential customers will be searching for. If you have 1000 product pages on your site, that is better for SEO than having 100, if you have 1000 product pages and 1000 blog posts all linking to the product pages and targeting relevant subject matter.
