We are excited to announce (as if you couldn't tell..!) that our new website has now launched.

We've been working on it behind closed doors between other projects for a few months, and have been really looking forwards to getting it live. Our old website has served us well, but has been around for a number of years and was starting to show its age. We felt we could do better with a fresh new design and enhanced feature set. The time finally came to make the switch late yesterday.

As well as the new look and feel from our design team (which extends company wide), we are particularly pleased with the new portfolio and sections on our service and product offerings - which we plan to flesh out further over the coming weeks and months. These complement some of the existing features that we have transitioned from the old site such as the popular jargon buster.

A particular challenge was to maintain the search engine positioning the old site had attained on a number of key phrases - which is key to any online business, not just ourselves, when undergoing this kind of transition. We carefully planned where every page from the old website mapped on the new one, and used the redirection system in wiredcms to set all of these up as 301 (search engine friendly) redirects to ensure that people arriving from google, as well as google itself, didn't suddenly get the dreaded 404 (not found) error. We are keen to see how that goes over the next week or two - only time will tell whether this has worked out, but it is something we regularly undertake successfully for clients, so we are quietly confident.
