Best Practice - Standards & Compliance

Wired Media follow a strict best practice approach.

This approach means that we utilise the latest and most advanced proven and tested technologies across the business, from programming clients sites through to the servers we use. Sites are backed up daily and copies held across three different locations.

Best practice means that our sites are programmed to Government (UK & EU), legal and accessibility standards (including W3C WAI, W3C XHTML, W3C CSS etc). You can see for yourself by clicking on the orange XHTML and CSS links at the bottom of every page in this site.

Secure transactions are encrypted to 'bank level' standards and the software used is kept up to date through automated procedures and manually checks.

We attempt, very succesfully, to pre-empt a clients development cycle, so that future development costs are kept to a minimum.

Very strict coding standards mean that any competent developer or programmer is able to follow how the site works and undertake future development or general 'bug' fixes. This means that as the business expands, any developer or contractor is able to work on any project.

Our error reporting software means we know of a problem before a client and more importantly a clients' customer and are able to fix it before anyone has even noticed. We are notified of errors by email and text message.
